How to Get Rid of Acne (Forever) With Reflexology

What is Acne?

Acne, basically is the result of our skin's sebaceous (oil) glands getting blocked, and is a health condition that, like the common cold, has yet to find the ultimate cure. Sometimes it's genetic, often it's not. Acne usually occurs around our teenage years, but sometimes we can suddenly get a breakout in our 30's or 40's (stress or hormonal changes). Most over the counter treatments are intended for external, more superficial use, but in order to achieve best, long lasting results acne treatment must be internal.

About The Treatment.

Firstly, I always recommend dietary change and herbal supplements (to stimulate liver and bowel movements) for deep cleansing and detoxifying. Also, drink lots of water to really flush out the system.

Successful acne treatment needs to include balancing hormonal levels, detoxifying the body and boosting immunity.

To be 15 years old and to suffer from acne can be extremely stressful. I've added some reflex points to work on that will help your teen cope better emotionally. Often stress can cause further inflammation and thus make matters even worse.

OK, here it is:

The Ultimate Acne Treatment:

• Start each day with a glass (or two) of water with a tablespoon (or two) of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
• Use a herbal formula with dandelion (to cleanse liver), calendula and burdock (to soothe skin inflammation), yellow dock (clears chronic skin problems, encourages bowel movements, promotes liver function).
• Cut down on fatty, sugary foods!

Reflexology Points to Work On (open and print a foot chart here):

For cleansing and detoxifying:
• Neck lymph nodes
• Liver
• Intestines
• Kidneys and bladder
• Lungs

For hormonal and immune boost:
• Pituitary gland (hormonal balancing)
• Thyroid
• Adrenal (good point for anti-stress too)
• Thymus gland

For anti-stress:
• Solar plexus (hold point on both feet simultaneously at the end the treatment)

Wow, that's a pretty good treatment! Give it (or get it) once or twice a week for at least a month, together with the herbal supplements and you'll see a huge improvement in no time

You can be acne acne free, and it can be forever! Learn how to cure your acne using Reflexology.

How Reflexology Massage Therapy Evolved and Reached Rocky Point NY

Reflexology massage therapy is availed of along with Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage therapy, sports massage therapy and pregnancy massage therapy in therapeutic massage spas in Rocky Point NY by residents of Suffolk County, Rocky Point, Manorville, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Port Jefferson, Ridge, Yapank, Shoreham, Weeding River, Riverhead, Setauket, East Setauket, Port Jefferson Station, Coram, Seldon, Farmingville, Brookhaven, Middle Island, Medford and Sound Beach. But do you know how reflexology massage therapy evolved until it reached Rocky Point NY?

Reflexology massage therapy is said to result in detoxification, improved blood and lymph fluid circulation, reduced tension and in the body’s increased capability for self healing. It is said to be effective for the treatment of a variety of conditions such as tension headaches, chronic headaches, migraine, fibromyalgia, arthritis, rheumatism, back pain, digestive problems and other discomforts.

Reflexology massage therapy is a very old therapy that can be traced as far back as the time of ancient Egypt. Illustrations and hieroglyphs have been found on the walls of an ancient tomb of an early Egyptian physician, showing a patient being treated with reflexology. In Japan, the early version of reflexology massage therapy was a foot reflexology technique called Zoku Shin Do. That, in turn, originated from ancient China where it later evolved into acupressure and then acupuncture. It is evident that in the East, the meridians are used in all modalities of reflexology, acupressure and acupuncture.

Reflexology was also seen in the West, though. The early North American Cherokee tribes have their version which is still in existence today. There are also foot massage techniques very imilar to reflexology in India, Africa and Europe.

In 1913, Dr. William H. Fitzgerald, a surgeon and an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, brought full body reflexology as it is known today to the United States. Dr. Fitzgerald discovered in his practice that he could produce anesthetic effects on certain body parts by applying pressure on certain other body parts. He also observed that he could produce other types of responses in certain body parts by applying pressure to certain other body parts. Dr. Fitzgerald documented these observations in his reflexology chart, mapping out which body parts corresponded to which reflex points in the hands and feet. His chart divided the body into ten vertical zones. This is why reflexology massage therapy was then called zone therapy.

By the 1930s to the 1940s, reflexology massage therapy was further developed by Eunice D. Ingham, a nurse and physiotherapist. She found reflexes in the feet that correspond to each and every part of the body. Her method has survived and is what is most widely used by reflexologists in reflexology massage therapy at present. It was also her method that was first called reflexology.

Current reflexology therapists apply techniques of reflexology massage therapy on the feet, hands and even ears. Specific points are determined based on an intensive and extensive pre-session interview with the patient. The particular complaints are elicited and the patient’s condition is assessed. The evaluation continues even during the actual treatment session because any pain felt by the patient when certain reflex points are pressed will show other hidden health issues which are then also addressed.

Today, reflexology massage therapy is recognized and accepted as a massage modality throughout the world, in the same way that Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage therapy, sports massage therapy and pregnancy massage therapy are recognized and accepted. Residents of Suffolk County, Rocky Point, Manorville, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Port Jefferson, Ridge, Yapank, Shoreham, Weeding River, Riverhead, Setauket, East Setauket, Port Jefferson Station, Coram, Seldon, Farmingville, Brookhaven, Middle Island, Medford and Sound Beach can ask for reflexology massage therapy from any therapeutic massage spa in Rocky Point NY.

Reflexology or Relaxation

Not just relaxation it's a holistic integrated treatment

Reflexology is treatment commonly used for relaxation and rejuvenation. But not many know that reflexology is not only a therapy to relax your body but it can also cure ailments and act as a preventive technique. The different benefits of reflexology, other than relaxation are as follows.

    * Improves circulation – blood removes the toxins and waste from our body and carries vital nutrients to the parts which need them. Other than blood there are various other circulatory systems like lymphatic and digestive systems. Stress disturbs these systems but reflexology can restore them.
    * Revitalizes energy – with busy lifestyles, we all suffer from the problem of dipping energy. Low energy can lead to lack of concentration and motivation to do work. By opening up blocked pathways in our body we can regain the lost energy.
    * Reduces pain – pain can be reduced greatly by reflexology as reflexology augments the creation of endorphins. The mild pressure applied to the nerve endings also gives relief from pain.
    * Stimulates nerve function –
there are more than seven thousand nerves in our feet. By stimulating these nerves we open and clear the neural pathways.
    * Improves immune system – the lymphatic system is stimulated by reflexology. This helps in reducing the risk of infections. The body is drained of all the toxins, impurities and waste materials. It increases the production of endorphins which improves the immune system and increases the sense of well-being.
    * Preventive health care – preventive aspects of reflexology can prevent a lot of money, tension and above all it can prevent from great damages. It helps in maintaining a good quality of l

    * Safe and gentle treatment – reflexology can work for any person of any age or gender. It can treat pregnant women, aged citizens, new born children and almost anybody. It can be used as a complimentary therapy or as a curative therapy. It is safe and gentle as it has no side effects.
    * Balancing the body as a whole – nearly all problems can be solved by reflexology and so it balances the body a whole unit.

Reflexology cures ailments like arthritis, allergies, asthma, back problems, blood circulation, bowel disturbances, eczema, frozen shoulder, hay fever, insomnia, knee, kidney, muscle and hormonal problems, respiratory and bone problems. Reflexology does not actually heal. It is a means by which the body's healing potential is stimulated. It should be an important aspect of your health care.

Reflexology And It's Benefits

The immense interest and utility of alternate medicine methods have brought the term called "Reflexology" to light. Reflexology refers to the branch of alternate medicines which deals with relieving a person from pain and diseases by mere application of pressure on particular body parts like feet, hands, ears, etc. the goal is to give benefits to other body parts or even improving the general well-being. It was developed by Eunice D. Ingham in 1930s-1940s.

The principle that Reflexology follows is that the reflexes in feet, ears, hands and their referred areas correspond to every gland and organ of human body. The pros of Reflexology are that it relieves tension, muscle strain and improves blood circulation on the body. It also yields betterment of general health. All these benefits are done without any chemicals, crèmes, lotions, ointments or drugs. In treatment through Reflexology, a chart is made; this chart reflects different body parts corresponding to different zones on feet and hands. This map is followed while continuing the treatment.

The division of reflexes zones is that left foot or hand corresponds to the left side of the body and the right side likewise. The fingers and toes reflect the neck and heaad respectively. The ball of foot corresponds to the chest and upper back and chest in addition to heart and lungs. In the middle of the foot is represented as waistline.

The jury is till on about the validity of the theory on which Reflexology is based, yet there are many who have been benefited.
